URA FC locks horns with arguably the most improved team as per the first round of the 2019/2020 StarTimes Uganda Premier League Season this Wednesday at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, Jinja.
Many football enthusiasts in the country will argue that for all intent and purpose, the Jinja based side have established themselves as the giant slayers and worthy threats to any would-be strong dynasty.
The tax collectors witnessed first hand and paid testament to the passion, desire and resilience this Bull Fc side in the reverse game played at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole during the first round fixtures.
The tax collectors led for better parts of the game through Shafik Kagimu’s 10th-minute goal but Bull FC, through their overflowing adrenaline and an unquenchable thirst for an equalizer left it late. Securing a point with a few minutes to the referee’s final whistle.
Sam Simbwa, however, remains adamant that lessons have been learned since that time and the team is better prepared mentally to handle this game. The thinking in camp is that the game will be handled better this time around.
Truly, “thoughts are things” and powerful at that when mixed with definiteness of purpose, persistence and a burning desire for their translation into results. We as URA FC would need this.
We have played the Jinja based side 17 times. URA actually have a better record than BUL over the years, winning 7 of the previous encounters compared to BUL’s 2 drawing eight times. The sides last locked horns last year in the first round, which ended 1-1.
