URA FC’s head coach Alex Isabirye has urged his players to remain focused during the off-season following his first and last game in charge for the current season.

The match held on Saturday 1st June 2024, saw the Tax Collectors triumph with a 3-0 victory over Kitara FC during the grand opening test match of the newly renovated Nakivubo Stadium.

Ivan Ahimbisibwe led the charge with a brace, while Joseph Ssemujju added another goal, securing a comfortable win for the Tax Collectors. The victory not only marked a positive start for Isabirye but also celebrated the successful inauguration of Nakivubo Stadium.

In his remarks with the club media team, Isabirye emphasized the need for his players to stay disciplined and focused during the upcoming break.

“This win is a great beginning, but we must not lose sight of our long-term goals. The off-season is a critical period for reflection and preparation,” Isabirye stated.

Taking over the team recently, Isabirye expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance and highlighted the importance of maintaining momentum.

“The team played exceptionally well. However, we need to use this time wisely to improve and prepare for the challenges of the 2024/25 season,” he added.

With the team officially breaking off until the next season, Isabirye plans to focus on strategic planning and intensive training to ensure the team returns stronger. The victory has instilled a sense of optimism among URA FC supporters, who are hopeful for a successful season under Isabirye’s leadership.
