Striker Bruno Bunyaga has expressed his gratitude for the FUFA double license regulation, which played a pivotal role in revitalizing his 2023/24 season and restoring the trust of his primary club, URA FC.

Bunyaga’s journey in the concluded season began with a loan move to the FUFA Big League side Kiyinda Boys, where he showcased his striking prowess by netting 4 goals in just 5 appearances. His impressive performance caught the attention of his parent club, URA FC, prompting them to bring him back with high hopes in him.

Despite facing a challenging season with limited game time at URA FC, Bunyaga managed to score 4 goals in 12 league appearances.

His perseverance and hard work did not go unnoticed, as he earned a call-up to the Uganda Hippos (U20) squad for the All Africa Games in Ghana.

There, he continued his impressive form, scoring 2 goals and helping the team secure a commendable second-place finish.

Bunyaga credits the FUFA double license regulation for providing him with the opportunity to gain valuable playing time and experience at Kiyinda Boys,

which ultimately led to his successful return to URA FC.

“The double license regulation was a game-changer for me. It allowed me to get the much-needed playing time and regain my confidence. I’m thankful to the URA FC technical team and my teammates for their unwavering support,” said Bunyaga.

He also expressed his appreciation for the support and guidance of the URA FC technical team and his teammates, which was instrumental in his development and success.

With his form back on track and his confidence restored, Bunyaga looks forward to building on his recent successes and continuing to contribute to both his club and the national team.
