In a post-match analysis last evening at Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium, head coach David Obua expressed regret over the missed opportunities that led to their Startimes Uganda Premier League loss against Wakiso Giants FC. Despite the defeat, the gaffer also highlighted the commendable character and collective effort displayed by the team throughout the match.

The match against Wakiso Giants FC proved to be a challenging encounter, with URA FC falling short in converting crucial scoring opportunities. Obua acknowledged the importance of capitalizing on such moments but emphasized the positive aspects of the team’s performance.

“I regret that we couldn’t capitalize on the chances presented to us during the match against Wakiso Giants. Scoring opportunities are pivotal, and we need to be more clinical in front of goal,” he said.

However, King David was quick to commend the team’s resilience and determination, emphasizing the positive mindset that prevailed despite the setbacks.

“I am impressed with the character shown by the players. They demonstrated resilience and fought hard until the final whistle. Our collective effort was evident, and it’s this spirit that we will build upon moving forward,” added the coach.

Kenneth Kimera scored the home side goal in the 58th minute which meant the Tax Collectors remained in 7th place on 27 points from 18 games.

With the league loss behind them, URA FC is now shifting it’s focus to the upcoming Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64 tie against Kumi United FC this Saturday 17th at Booma Ground, Kumi.

The coach expressed optimism and a sense of determination as the team prepares for the cup clash.

“The focus now shifts to the Stanbic Uganda Cup. We have a crucial Round of 64 tie against Kumi United FC, and we are fully committed to giving our best in that competition. It’s an opportunity for redemption, and we’ll approach it with a positive mindset and strategic planning,” stated the coach.

As URA FC sets its sights on the Stanbic Uganda Cup, the coach remains confident in the team’s ability to bounce back and showcase their strengths in the upcoming fixture against Kumi United FC.
