Tax Collectors skipper Enock Walusimbi has come out to apologise to Wakiso Giants FC forward Samson Kigozi for the violent play he made on him when both sides faced off in the Startimes Uganda Premier League match day 4 at Mehta stadium Lugazi.

In the third minute of the match, Walusimbi fouled Kigozi which led to his immediate substitution (Kigozi) leading to quick investigations by the FUFA Disciplinary Panel into the matter.

The versatile player who was later handed a two match ban has emotionally tendered in an apology to his clanmate, fans and football supporters all over for the unfortunate incident.

“I’m sorry that I caused all that pain to you my brother Samson Kigozi. Honestly I never intended it and I hope you accept my apology and I wish you a quick Recovery.”

He said while speaking to the club media.

“To my my fans, the entire URA FC and football supporters all over, I am sorry.”

He added.

Walusimbi who missed the Maroons FC match will also miss the club’s encounter at Bul FC before returning against Kitara FC.

In his absence, custodian Denis Otim will lead the team as skipper.
