URA FC vs Gaddafi FC – Mehta Stadium @4pm

URA FC welcomes Gaddafi FC this evening at Mehta Sports Stadium, Lugazi in what will also be their last game at home this season.

The Tax Collectors will be aiming at returning to winning ways following four previous games without victory as well as revenging off the 2-1 loss in the first round against the Soldier Boys.

Team News.

Bruno Bunyaga and goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo return in the match day squad and so is assistant skipper Hudu Mulikyi who also returns from suspension.

On the other side, Justin Opiro (school) Kabon Living (3 yellow cards) Derrick Ndahiro (Ankle knock) Benjamin Nyakoojo (suspension) and Salim Abdallah (AWOL) are not in the squad.

“It’s an important game and we want to win it so that we stand a chance of finishing in respected positions. We have talked to the boys and reminded them about the importance of the match. It’s also our last home game of the season and a win will be good to the fans as well.”

He said while speaking to the club media.

“It’s a crucial game that means alot to everyone at the club. We have trained well and had a couple of friendly matches to rectify our mistakes and also we want to revenge the loss we made against Gaddafi in the first round.”

Head To Head.

This will be the fourth meeting between the two sides with either side managing one win and a draw in the previous three ties.

The last time URA FC hosted Gaddafi saw us win 2-1 with Brian Nkuubi winning it late at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje in 2022.

This season in the first round, Gaddafi won 2-1 at Kakindu Stadium, Jinja with George Senkaaba netting our consolation.

Currently on the log, URA FC are in 6th place with 36 points from 26 games while our opponents who climax their season this evening are 11th on 31 points from 27 games.
