URA FC lock horns with Mbarara City in Matchday 10 fixture slated for Wednesday, December 22nd at the Arena of Visions, Ndejje University. A fixture where a win will be important to steer Sam Timbe’s side to a better points tally.
The state of affairs is so because the Tax Collectors have failed to win in their four consecutive games, only managing a draw against Police FC, SC Villa, Express FC and most recently away at the AbaBet Greenlight Stadium against Onduparaka FC.
Timbe highlighted the need for his side to return to winning ways as soon as possible during his address to URAMedia;
“We honestly need to return to winning games as a team but to do that, we shall have to sort out all our challenges that keep changing game by game,” Timbe assessed.
“We are not doing well enough as a team, our offence was good initially but we were struggling with defence, eventually conceding a lot of goals. It’s the goals that seem to have dried out now yet the defence is improving,” he highlighted.
“These challenges have not allowed us to win any of our last four games but we have an opportunity as we host Mbarara City. A game which we have to approach with a mindset of claiming all three points.”
Meanwhile, the gaffer spoke about the need for more aggression but also enough concentration for his side in the game against the Ankole Lions as Hussien Mbalangu’s side has been known to show a bit more of that in their games.
“Mbarara City is a well-coached side and know exactly what to do in their games, they are a very aggressive team and we shall need to have a bit more of that coming into this game. We have to counter that.”
“I must say though that I am honestly proud of the work my team has done in training and we hope to show more intent in the game,” he summed.
The Ankole Lions themselves have been involved in mixed results coming into this game but will hope for better luck against the now wounded giant.
