It’s often said that great things come in threes, it doesn’t get any better than hosting SC Villa at the Arena of Visions in our third game of the 2020/2021 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season.

On Saturday 12/12/2020, URA FC host the Jogoos in what will be our second consecutive home game of the season looking to better our eighth position on the league standings.

Sam Simbwa’s side is yet to register any luck of a win so far this season with both games played ending in stalemates. First was a one all draw at Kakyeka Stadium against Mbarara City and most recently a goalless draw against Solilo Bright Stars.

Birungi Micheal celebrating his first URA FC goal against SC Villa.

With his side failing to score a goal at home in the game they dominated against Bright Stars, the gaffer will look for more aggression and clinicality from his team against an impressive SC Villa side.

SC Villa currently sits second on the table in the aftermath of an impressive 3-0 win against Mbarara City in their just-concluded game. They will be charging to continue this good form against us come Saturday.

The gaffer will be asking for more industry from his side since one can only win the lottery if they buy a ticket.

He is not oblivious to this at all as highlighted in his pre match press conference:

“We have been unlucky not to win a game yet but we won’t keep thinking about it, we are facing a team in good form and our aim is to give 100% in the game so we can win”

“The team has been defending well but my role as a manager is to prepare our offence to be equally as good. Once this is done, we shall win more games”

The vibe seems positive already around the club as this is one of the biggest games of the season. The players are mentally ready for this big encounter.

The last time we faced SC Villa, which was also at The Arena of Visions, we managed to go past them in a 2-0 win. An early goal from Daniel Isiagi and a 64th minute goal from Micheal Birungi sealed the victory.
