Dada Ibrahim earned URA FC a draw against Rayon Sport FC at the Kigali Nyamirambo Regional Stadium. Rayon Sport FC took the lead at the 48th minute, however the tax collectors recovered well and levelling through Dada Ibrahim at the 78th minute.

The selection

Sam Timbe made three changes to his previous starting XI with Shafik Kagimu, Nyakooja Benjamin and Ojera Joakim coming into the side. Najib Fesali and Jackson Nunda were fit enough to be named on the bench.

Rayon Sport FC lead early

Rayon Sport FC went ahead in the 48 minute through Esaluwe Raphael opener. Hannington Sebwalunyo hesitated intercepting a deflected set piece at the edge of the box, tapping the ball onto the woodwork and into his net.

The  tax collectors responded well. Shafik Kagimu sent a pin point set piece that Patrick Mbowa headed over the goal keeper.

There was a sharpness about our play despite the early setback. On the half-hour, Hassan Kalega, Ojera Joakim and Patrick Mbowa dictated the pace of play from the onset.

Levelling up

URA FC dominated there after with Hannington Sebwalunyo not forced into a single save after Esaluwe Raphael opener. We had a couple of chances of our own to pick up three points with Joakim Ojera and Dada Ibrahim coming closest to a winner.

So, when our equaliser arrived in the 78th minute, it felt deserved. A good Shafik Kagimu pass took Rayon Sport FC defender out of the equation, but Patrick Mbowa was still a long way from goal. He set Dada Ibrahim to loft a gorgeous, chipped tap in to the far post.
