Three goals and three wins in a row for the tax collectors after that first home defeat of the season against Vipers SC.

Sam Timbe’s side returned to winning ways at home back from the former home defeat against Vipers SC the last time they were in action at home.

Going into this game, Timbe made only one change to the starting lineup: Hudu Mulikyi started ahead of Mandela Ashraf who wasn’t available due to illness. Mukwala Steven and Derrick Ndahiro will not be seen in action until the end of the season as the duo are serving suspensions from the club due to indiscipline.

Kalega Hassan was also recalled for this game but could only make it to the bench.

URA had a fine start to proceedings at the Arena of Visions Ndejje which saw them take an early lead from Cromwel Rwothomio in the ninth minute of the game after a lovely cross from the skipper, Shafik Kagimu.

That meant that our number 29 has now scored in all our last three games. Against Police FC, UPDF, and now Soltilo Bright Stars.

Seven minutes later, the architect of the opener, Kagimu had the ball at the back of the net after a long ball from the custodian Nafian Alionzi jumped the Bright Stars defense, and the skipper did the rest.

The slice of good fortune eased the tension inside the Arena of Visions as Shafik Kagimu again 17 minutes later got his second goal of the game to stretch our lead by three goals to nil.

A double from the skipper and the opener from Cromwel ensured the game went into recess with the tax collectors in full control.

Sam Timbe made a halftime change which saw Kabon Living replace Jockiam Ojera before the second half kicked off.

The tax collectors had full control of the game and kept dominating the game with the hope of finding the back of the net again but all was in vain as they didn’t quite convert the chances created.

In the 62nd minute, Kagimu Shafik was booked for confronting the referee after a dangerous challenge was made on Hudu Mulikyi.

The skipper’s time was up in the game as he was replaced by Brian Nkuubi in the 73rd minute. Four minutes later, Ivan Sserubiri was booked.

The last and final Subs saw Sam Timbe makes three changes. Dada Ibrahim, Hassan Kalega, and Najib Fesali came on to replace Cromwel Rwothomio, Ivan Sserubiri, and Arafat Galiwango respectively with six minutes of normal time left to play.

In the 89th minute, Bright Stars’ Fiat was shown a red card after a second bookable offense.

With five minutes added, Bright Stars scored right at the death (90+4) with the last action in the game.

The tax collectors had their comfortable win after an efficient polished performance.
