URA FC forward Steven Dese Mukwala has been named the MTN StarTimes Uganda Premier League Fans Player of the recently concluded 2020/21 season.

This follows a magnificent season where he was the club top scorer with 14 goals and six assists but the general feeling being that the numbers would have been more ridiculous had the season been played to completion.

A season earlier, Mukwala had hit the same heights but with a different club so by all intent and purpose, this was a continuation of his superb and convincing form.

His performances for URA FC were impressive the previous season especially because he was involved in more or less everything the team did offensively for the games he featured.

The Club’s Head of Public Relation (L), CEO, Henry mayeku (Centre) represented Mukwala at the wards.

One of the most notable games however was the game away at the AbaBet Green Light Stadium in Arua against West Nile giants Onduparaka FC.

His athleticism and improvisation coupled with the kind of calmness and finesse to score two goals in an environment that has proved a tough hunting ground for any opposition team stands out amongst the many.

That and many more home games like UPDF FC, KCCA FC, Police FC, Vipers SC and so forth at the Arena of Visions playground in Ndejje University were definitely something to write home about.

It is, therefore, no surprise that Mukwala won this incredible individual accolade. We congratulate the player and the fans who voted for him.
