In a recent interview with the club media team, promising left back Amis Bwangani shared insights into his debut season in the Uganda Premier League with URA FC, marked by some eye catching performances, team camaraderie, and unwavering trust from the club head coach David Obua.

In the interview, Bangwani expressed gratitude for the warm reception he received from his teammates when he joined the club til now, emphasizing the crucial role it played in boosting his confidence.

“The support from my teammates has been incredible. They made me feel like family right from the start, and that camaraderie translated into a positive impact on my performance,” he stated.

He highlighted the collaborative spirit within the team, describing how the collective encouragement fueled a sense of unity on and off the field.

“When you have teammates who believe in you, it gives you the confidence to push your limits. We’re not just a team; we’re a family, and that dynamic reflects in our

game even when results don’t come our way,”Bangwani added.

One of the defining factors in Bangwani’s success was the trust instilled in him by the head coach David.

“Having the coach’s trust is invaluable. It’s not just about playing time; it’s about knowing that they believe in your abilities and potential. That trust motivates you to give your best every time you step onto the field,” he shared.

In the first round of the Startimes Uganda Premier League, Bangwani who joined from St Henry’s College Kitovu after a stellar performance in the 2023 USSSA games in Fort Portal made his debut in a one all stalemate at Maroons under then interim head coach Fred Muhumuza before being handed full starts against Arua Hill SC and Busoga United winning 4-1 and drawing 2-2 respectively with decent displays in all ties.

As he hopes for even a better second round, the football lovers all over the country eagerly anticipate the promising trajectory of this rising star, whose journey exemplifies the power of teamwork and the impact of unwavering support from both teammates and coaching staff.

John Innocent Kisolo, Godfrey Sekibengo and Denis Kisiriko are the other rookies in the club that joined the club in the summer window from school.
