Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) FC went down 1-0 to the Uganda Cranes team preparing for the upcoming CHAN 2020 qualifiers.

In the game played at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo, Sam Simbwa’s side who fielded most of their new signings conceded an early Allan Kayiwa goal and could not recover from it despite relentless attacks.

The Cranes dominated most of the early exchanges and after good inter-play between Patrick Kaddu and Kayiwa, the later fired into the top corner to hand Abdallah Mubiru’s side the advantage.

URA’s best chance of the opening half fell to Brian Majwega but the winger was undecisive after he was played in through on goal by a weak Mustafah Mujuzi back-header, enabling the Cranes to clear their lines.

With half time beckoning, the Tax Collectors took control of proceedings but were unable to force an equalizer.

In the second half, URA failed to create clear cut chances as the Cranes saw out a slim victory against Sam Simbwa’s side.

This was URA’s second official pre-season friendly game as they continue preparations for the upcoming 2019/2020 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season.

The Tax Collectors are expected to return to action on the 27th of July when they take on Mbarara City in the Pilsner Super 8 at Kakyeka.
