In the game of football, there are values which need to be held even higher than those which bring victory and amongst those is fair play. In the recently concluded Airtel FUFA awards held at Commonwealth Resort Munyonyo, URA FC was awarded the FUFA fair play award.

(L-R) Assistant Coach Lutalo George William, Kiggundu Steven Billy (Goal Keeping Coach) pose with the Fair Play Award yesterday at URA Headquarters Nakawa.

URA FC collected only 1 red card and 27 yellow cards the entire 2018/19 season, the best by any club in the league. This comes from the discipline on the pitch and the trainers.

(L-R) – Kiggundu Steven Billy (Goal Keeping Coach), Lutalo George William (Asst. Coach), Ojambo Steven Paul (Director Administration), Kizza James (Chairman), Ian Rumanyika (Director Communications & Marketing).

The tax collectors’ Chairman James Kizza commended the coaches headed by Sam Ssimbwa and assisted by George Lutalo Williams for the impressive record urging them to keep up the spirit. This took place at the URA tower Nakawa in a meeting that was attended by members of the URA FC executive.
