Kalega Hassan expects URA FC to be in for a challenging ride when the tax collectors visit SC Villa on Friday evening.
Having followed the progress of Villa so far this season, our No. 6 feels that Kaziba Edward’s side are unlikely to be worrying about relegation this season.
“Yes, I’ve watched two or three Villa games,” Kalega told URA Media. “They’re playing really well. They get a lot of players forward, they are also very well drilled and it will be a tough game, so we need to play with character.
“I don’t think they are a side that will struggle in the Premier League this season,” he added.
StarTimes Premier League returns for URA with five fixtures that are spread across 15 days. By contrast, the next three games will be crammed into eight days – after visiting Villa, the tax collectors travel to Police at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Tuesday next week, before facing Express FC next week on Friday.
“That’s a good thing because we know we’ve got a big squad,” said Kalega, who missed URA’s previous two games with an injury he sustained in the BUL FC match.
“There are a lot of players who want to show the coach they are training well and want to play. That’s good because it creates healthy competition between all of us.

“We hope that whoever gets their chance will be able to perform the best they can for the team.”
URA has not lost any match in October so far, representing an emphatic response to the last defeat at home to Tooro United on 13 Sept.
“Yes, I think we had two early defeats but the team was playing well, we tried to score, to press high and get players forward. Then we had a really good result away from home against tough opposition (Onduparaka) and we’ve battled and got more players forward.”
Kalega feels Cromwel Rwothomio, in particular, has benefited from having additional support in the attacking positions, with the No. 29 netting twice at Onduparaka.
”Cromwel has more team-mates around him and he feels happy, commented the midfielder. “He’s started scoring goals, he’s happy and long may that continue.”
