The Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) secretariat, on Monday, September 14, 2020, welcomed a new CEO Henry Mayeku to the club.

The ceremony which took place at the Secretariat headquarters in Nakawa was flanked by board members of the club. Mayeku filled the vacant CEO role at the club which was left unfilled following the departure of Ivan Kakembo at the back end of 2019.

The occasion was graced by various URA FC board members, Kizza James (Chairman), Ceaser Labeja (Finance Director), Ian Rumanyika (Director Communication and Marketing) including the technical staff led by the Team manager Sam Okabo and Head Coach Sam Ssimbwa.

After the departure of Ivan, Bridget Nakayenga took over as the acting CEO from December 2019 to Sept 2020.

While speaking, Henry said: “I am back home and I want to thank the Board for trusting me with this huge role. I am back home and I always want to serve URA FC. Even if I left in 2016, I have always followed the club to every bit.”

He also stressed the point that the club must maximize in three areas, marketing, communication, and media if its to archive its goals as a top brand that everyone would love to associate with.
