New boy Emmanuel Oketch is steadily settling in at the club since joining on a 2-year contract from West Nile side Onduparaka FC in the previous transfer window.

The lanky winger who can also play as a forward is grateful for the opportunity to play at URA FC and hopes to achieve big in his first season.

“I am glad to be part of this team and I thank God for making this come true. I am finding life okay at the club thanks to the warm welcome I recieved from my teammates and technical team.”

He said in his opening remarks while speaking with the club media.

“The club management and fans should expect more from the entire team and me individually. I will do my best to score and assist and I hope to score more than 7 goals as well as making more than 10 assists.”

He added.

Oketch made his debut for the Tax Collectors in the FUFA Super 8 cup final against Bul FC at the MTN Omondi stadium.

This season in the Startimes Uganda Premier League, he has featured twice, both coming off the bench against UPDF FC and Gaddafi FC while against Soltilo Bright Stars FC, he was an unused substitute.

He is mostly remembered for his late double last season for Onduparaka FC against KCCA FC in the two all draw at the MTN Omondi stadium to dent the home side hopes of winning the league title.
