Professional Footballer | Defensive Midfielder | URA FC
Kisolo John Innocent is a promising Ugandan professional footballer who plays as a defensive/holding midfielder for URA FC in the Uganda Premier League. Born on 18 November 2006, Kisolo has progressed from competitive school football into Uganda’s top-flight game and national youth football.
His football development gained prominence at St. Henry’s College Kitovu, where he captained the school team and helped guide it to its maiden final of the USSSA Football Championship. During his time at Kitovu, he recorded six goals and eight assists in 18 matches. He also previously featured for the KCCA Junior Team, making three appearances and scoring once.
In July 2023, Kisolo made the transition to senior club football when he signed for URA FC on a three-year contract. His role as a holding midfielder reflects his development as a player capable of operating in the central areas of the pitch and contributing to both defensive and attacking phases of play.
His performances also earned him recognition at national level. Kisolo was selected to represent Uganda’s U18 national team at the 2023 CECAFA U18 Boys Championship, where he featured in midfield and started during Uganda’s successful group-stage campaign.
His progression continued when he was included in a Uganda Cranes Select squad in August 2024 for the regional tour match in Apac and the FUFA Super 8 third-place playoff, demonstrating his growing recognition within Uganda’s senior football setup.
At club level, Kisolo has continued to gain senior competitive experience with URA FC. One of his standout moments came on 16 April 2025, when he scored the decisive goal in URA FC’s 1–0 victory over KCCA FC at Hamz Stadium, converting a Laban Tibita assist late in the match to secure all three points.
Currently wearing shirt number 26 for URA FC, Kisolo continues to develop as a young defensive midfielder with experience spanning school football, youth international competition and Uganda Premier League football.
