Joshua Lubwama is an experienced Ugandan professional footballer who plays primarily as a defensive midfielder for URA FC in the Uganda Premier League. Standing at approximately 1.88 metres, he offers a strong physical presence in midfield and can also operate as a centre back, giving his team additional defensive versatility.

Lubwama’s senior career has included spells with Luweero United, BUL FC, Ndejje University FC and Wakiso Giants. He joined URA FC from Wakiso Giants in January 2023, strengthening the Tax Collectors’ midfield and defensive options.

At URA, Lubwama has established himself as an important member of the squad and wears the No. 15 shirt. His role is primarily focused on providing defensive stability in midfield, while his height and physical presence also make him useful during aerial situations and set pieces. His attacking threat from set pieces was demonstrated in April 2026, when he headed URA into an early lead against Police FC from a Disan Galiwango corner.

Lubwama also has international sporting experience with the Uganda Sand Cranes, representing Uganda in beach soccer and participating in the country’s Africa Cup of Nations setup.
