Sam Okabo is an experienced Ugandan football administrator with a long-standing association with URA FC. His career with the Tax Collectors has included responsibilities in both the club’s technical support structure and its administrative management.
Earlier Uganda Premier League records identify Okabo as URA FC’s Team Medic, including during the club’s league campaigns under head coach Sam Ssimbwa. By 2017, he was serving as Team Manager, a position he retained during changes to URA’s technical staff.
As Team Manager, Okabo has been responsible for supporting the organization and coordination of the senior team. He was part of URA FC’s delegation during the club’s 2021/22 CAF Confederation Cup campaign, including the trips and fixtures against Ethiopian Coffee and Egyptian side Al Masry.
His administrative involvement with URA FC extends beyond first-team match operations. In April 2026, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) officially listed Okabo Sam among the subscribers of URA Football Club Limited, the company limited by guarantee under which URA FC operates.
With experience spanning medical support, team management and club administration, Okabo has built a substantial background within URA FC’s organizational structure.
