URA Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of exciting attacking midfielder Marvin Nyanzi, who has joined the Tax Collectors from Express FC on a two-year contract.

Nyanzi becomes the club’s third signing of the transfer window, following the arrivals of Muhammad Kyeyune and Elvis Ssekajugo, as the club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.

The creative midfielder arrives with a reputation for his composure, intelligence and ability to unlock defences in the final third. His technical quality and eye for a pass are expected to add another dimension to URA FC’s attacking options.

The move also reunites Nyanzi with head coach Jimmy Kintu Mwera, with whom he previously worked during his time at Express FC.

Speaking to URA FC media after completing his move, Nyanzi said his familiarity with the coach and the ambitions of the club made the decision a straightforward one.

“It was an easy decision for me because I have previously worked with Coach Jimmy Kintu, so when this opportunity came, I welcomed it. I know what he expects from his players, and I believe this is the right environment for me to continue growing and contributing to the team.”

The new signing is also eager to embrace the challenge of representing a club of URA FC’s stature, setting his sights on helping the team compete for honours.

“URA is a big team with big ambitions, and I am here to work hard and give my best to help the team achieve its targets. We want to win something, and I believe that with hard work, commitment and unity, we can achieve that. I just can’t wait to get started.”

Nyanzi’s arrival adds further creativity to a URA FC side being shaped under Kintu, who is entering his first season at the helm with the club determined to build a competitive squad capable of challenging on multiple fronts.

Before joining the Tax Collectors, Nyanzi featured for Wakiso Giants FC and Kitara FC, gaining valuable experience in the Uganda Premier League. His spell at Express FC further enhanced his profile as a technically gifted player capable of operating in advanced midfield positions.

At URA FC, the midfielder will be expected to bring his calmness in possession, creativity and attacking intelligence to a squad that is undergoing significant rebuilding ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

The club is confident that Nyanzi’s qualities, coupled with his previous working relationship with Coach Kintu, will help him settle quickly and make a meaningful contribution.

Welcome to the Tax Collectors family, Marvin Nyanzi! We are delighted to have you on board.
