Angel Nakanwagi is a promising Ugandan women’s footballer who plays as a defender for URA Ladies FC. She is part of Uganda’s emerging generation of female football talent and has gained valuable experience through both competitive club football and the national youth-team setup.

Nakanwagi has earned recognition at international youth level through her involvement with the Uganda U17 Women’s National Team (Teen Cranes). Her progression into the national youth setup has provided her with exposure to competitive international football and an opportunity to further develop her defensive abilities.

At club level, Nakanwagi is part of the URA Ladies FC setup, a team that achieved a significant milestone during the 2025/26 season by winning the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Elite League and securing promotion to the FUFA Women Super League.

As a defender, Nakanwagi contributes to the team’s defensive structure through positioning, marking and disciplined play. Her continued development at club and youth international level provides a strong foundation for her progression within Ugandan women’s football.
