Belinda Hope Nabawanuka is a promising Ugandan women’s footballer who currently represents URA Ladies FC. Primarily identified as a defender, she has developed through school and youth football and has established herself as an important emerging player in Uganda’s women’s game. FUFA listed her among URA Ladies FC’s defenders in Uganda’s provisional squad for the 2026 CECAFA U17 Women’s Championship.

Nabawanuka developed her football through Kawempe Muslim Secondary School, one of Uganda’s leading institutions for women’s football development. Her pathway to Kawempe included participation in the Watoto Wasoka Girls’ Camp, after which her football talent and commitment helped her secure a sports scholarship at the school.

Her performances at school and club level earned her recognition within Uganda’s national youth-team structure. She was selected for the Uganda U17 Women’s National Team (Teen Cranes) setup during the 2025 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualification campaign and remained in the national youth setup in 2026.

At URA Ladies FC, Nabawanuka played an important role during the club’s successful 2025/26 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Elite League campaign. She demonstrated her ability to contribute offensively by scoring in URA’s 3–1 victory over Buhimba Lady Saints FC in March 2026.

Her biggest club moment of the season came in the 2025/26 Women Elite League Play-off Final against Jinja United WFC. Nabawanuka scored the decisive goal in the 31st minute, securing a 1–0 victory for URA Ladies FC. The result crowned URA champions, completed an unbeaten campaign, and accompanied their promotion to the 2026/27 FUFA Women Super League.
