Abdul Magada is a young Ugandan professional goalkeeper currently representing URA FC. Born on 25 January 2005, Magada has progressed through Uganda’s youth football system and gained both domestic top-flight and international youth experience.
Magada’s national-team development began at Uganda U17 level. He represented the Uganda Cubs, including being named among the goalkeepers for the 2020 CECAFA U17 squad while attached to the Busoga United Junior Team.
He subsequently progressed to the Uganda U20 national team (Uganda Hippos). Magada featured at the 2023 U20 Africa Cup of Nations and was later selected for Uganda’s squad at the 2023 African Games in Ghana, where Uganda won the silver medal.
At club level, Magada gained senior experience with Entebbe UPPC before representing Gaddafi FC. Uganda Premier League records confirm him appearing as a goalkeeper for Gaddafi, while FUFA listed him with the club during his Uganda U20 involvement.
Magada moved from Entebbe UPPC to URA FC in June 2024, strengthening the Tax Collectors’ goalkeeping department. He subsequently made appearances for URA during the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League season.
He continued to feature prominently in Uganda’s youth international setup after joining URA. FUFA selected him as one of the Uganda Hippos goalkeepers for the 2024 AFCON U20 CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers, identifying him as a URA FC player.
