Vanessa Namazzi is a talented Ugandan women’s footballer who plays as a midfielder for URA Ladies FC. She has established herself as an influential member of the team, combining technical ability, versatility and attacking contribution with leadership responsibilities as one of URA Ladies’ vice captains.

Namazzi played a major role in URA Ladies FC’s outstanding 2025/26 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Elite League campaign. URA completed the season unbeaten, won the league title and secured promotion to the 2026/27 FUFA Women Super League. Her performances throughout the campaign earned her the league’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.

Her attacking contribution was evident throughout the season. On Matchday Two, Namazzi scored from the penalty spot as URA Ladies defeated Buhimba Lady Saints FC 3–1. She later produced a standout performance against Police Women FC, scoring twice in a 3–0 victory while demonstrating her versatility by operating in multiple positions during the match.

Namazzi has also excelled in school football with Kawempe Muslim Secondary School. At the 2026 USSSA Kampala Zone qualifiers, she was named the Girls’ Football Most Valuable Player, further demonstrating her influence at youth and school level.

Her development includes experience within Uganda’s national youth-team structure. In 2024, she represented Uganda U16 at the UEFA Friendship Tournament and subsequently progressed to the Uganda U17 Women’s National Team (Teen Cranes). FUFA selected her among the midfielders for Uganda’s 2024 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixtures against Zambia.
