Monica Nannono is a promising Ugandan women’s footballer who has developed through the highly competitive Kawempe Muslim football system. An attack-minded player, Nannono has demonstrated her ability to both create and score goals in school, club and international youth football.

Nannono gained international experience with the Uganda U18 Women’s National Team during the 2023 CECAFA U18 Women’s Championship. FUFA listed her among Uganda’s forwards for the tournament, representing Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC. She featured as a substitute in Uganda’s 3–0 victory over Zanzibar as the national team maintained its strong start to the competition.

At school level, Nannono has continued to establish herself as an influential attacking player for Kawempe Muslim Secondary School. During the 2025 USSSA Elite Games, she provided the assist for Shadia Nabirye’s winning goal as Kawempe Muslim defeated Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga 1–0. She subsequently scored in the semifinal victory over Boni Consili, helping Kawempe advance to the tournament final.

Nannono also contributed to Kawempe Muslim’s success at the 2025 UMEA Solidarity Games. She scored in the girls’ football final as Kawempe defeated Nkoma SS 3–0, successfully defending the competition’s championship.

Her experience across Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC, school football and Uganda’s youth national-team structure provides her with a strong foundation as she continues developing within Ugandan women’s football.
