URA FC kicks off their 2025/26 StarTimes Uganda Premier League campaign this Friday evening against BUL FC at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
The Tax Collectors will be looking to start the new season on a high with a strong performance away from home.
This encounter comes with added spice, as URA head coach Alex Isabirye once guided BUL to Uganda Cup success in 2022. Now, he returns with his sights firmly set on delivering maximum points for his current side.
“Facing BUL is always tough, more so at Njeru where they’ve been strong, but we are confident,” said Isabirye. “The boys have worked hard throughout pre-season and are eager to show what we can do. We respect our opponents, but we are optimistic of positive results to start the season.”

Captain Moses Aliro expressed his readiness and belief in the team’s ability to deliver on opening day:
“As a team, we are ready to fight together and push for the maximum points,” Aliro noted. “The first game of the season is always important, and we want to set the right tone. Everyone in the camp is motivated, and we can’t wait to get going.”
