URA FC head coach Jimmy Kintu Mwera and midfielder Abraham Tusubira are optimistic the Tax Collectors can secure maximum points when they take on Blacks Power FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Saturday at 4:00 PM at the Bukedea Sports Complex.

The Tax Collectors head into the encounter determined to build on the goalless draw against Entebbe UPPC, a result that brought their three-match losing streak to an end and provided an opportunity to regain momentum.

Kintu believes his side showed enough in their previous outing to warrant more than a point and has challenged the players to turn their improved performance into a victory in Bukedea.

“In the last game, I believe we deserved more, but we take a point and we shall build on that against Blacks Power,” Kintu said.

The URA FC tactician acknowledged that the late change of venue from Hoima City Stadium to Bukedea Sports Complex affected the team’s initial preparations. However, he insists the adjustment will not distract his players from their objective.

“The changes affected our plan and we expect a different environment, but there is no excuse. We want three points,” he added.

Midfielder Abraham Tusubira has also expressed confidence in the team’s preparations, pointing to a productive week of training as a source of optimism ahead of the encounter.

“The preparations have been positive. I expect good results against Blacks Power. We’ve had a long week training and everything from the players is positive. We expect nothing but a win,” Tusubira said.

A Crucial Test for the Tax Collectors

URA FC will be looking to translate that confidence into points as they seek to improve their position in the league standings. The Tax Collectors sit 15th with four points and understand the importance of collecting maximum points to move away from the lower end of the table.

Their hosts, Blacks Power FC, will equally be eager to return to winning ways after suffering three consecutive league defeats.

The Bukedea-based side has lost 2-1 to BUL FC, 4-0 to Vipers SC and 2-1 to Mbarara City. Their last league victory came on September 8, when they defeated Maroons FC at Wankulukuku.

Despite occupying eighth position with nine points, Blacks Power will be under pressure to end their losing run, setting up a competitive contest between two sides eager to rediscover their winning form.

For Kintu and his charges, the immediate task is clear: build on the draw against Entebbe UPPC, execute their game plan and return from Bukedea with all three points.
