Right back Justine Opiro is currently with the Uganda Hippos at the ongoing AFCON U20 in Egypt.
The St. Mary’s SS Kitende student is hopeful that the tournament in Egypt won’t leave him the same in terms of career progress and growth and he is positive he will use the experience to help URA FC if called upon.
“I am so grateful to be with the Hippos, I was once with them in 2019 in Gulu and now here with them at AFCON U20. It’s a big stage and I am optimistic the experience I will get here will be important in my career development and also helpful to my club URA FC if given the opportunity.”
He said while at the Hippos camp in Ismailia City, Egypt.
Opiro, a product of Football For Good in Gulu was will be featuring at the AFCON for the second time having played in the 2019 with Uganda Cubs (U17) in Tanzania.
