URA FC Returns to Nakivubo Stadium for 2024/25 Season

URA FC has returned to Nakivubo Stadium as their official home ground for the upcoming 2024/25 season.

This move marks a huge milestone for the club, relishing memories of their triumphant 2011 Uganda Premier League success which was last celebrated on this historic ground.

Nakivubo Stadium which had been closed for renovations since 2016 under the management of Hajji Hamis Kiggundu was officially reopened on 1st June 2024.

The reopening was celebrated with a number of sports activities including a memorable first match where URA FC clinched a 3-0 victory against Kitara FC.

The victory was spearheaded by Ivan Ahimbisibwe, who scored a brace, and Joseph Ssemujju, who added another goal to seal the win for coach Alex Isabirye side.

The refurbished stadium will provide a brilliant matchday experience for fans and players alike, with modern facilities in presence.

The return to Nakivubo is expected to reignite the club’s competitive spirit as they aim for glory in the upcoming season.

The 2024/25 Uganda Premier League season is expected to kick off on 18th September 2024.
