URA FC head coach Alex Isabirye has urged his players to stay grounded and avoid complacency following their impressive 2-0 victory over Kitara FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Friday.
Goals from Ivan Ahimbisibwe and Shariph Kimbowa in the first half at Nakivubo Stadium secured URA’s first home win of the season propelling the club to sixth place with 11 points from seven matches.
Isabirye expressed satisfaction with the win, noting it reflects the progress the team is making as they work towards becoming more competitive.
However, he emphasized that there is still a long way to go, urging his players to stay focused, work harder and demonstrate greater commitment to reach their goals.
“We are building something strong but for us to become a top team, we need to keep pushing and stay committed,” Isabirye remarked. “The win against Kitara FC was great but we can’t afford to get carried away. We must keep our heads down and keep improving.”
With Tax Collectors next challenge set for Saturday, November 10th against Maroons FC, Isabirye is hopeful that his team will carry this momentum forward and continue climbing the league table.
