URA Football Club is pleased to announce that gifted midfielder Laban Tibita has officially renewed his contract with the club for an additional two years, a move that will see him remain a Tax Collector until June 2027.
Tibita initially joined URA FC from Busoga United in August 2023, and over the past two seasons, he has proven to be a key creative force in the middle of the park. In that time, the industrious midfielder has directly contributed to 10 assists and 7 goals, making his mark in both league and cup competitions with consistent performances.
Speaking shortly after putting pen to paper, he expressed his excitement and appreciation to the club management for the renewed trust:
“I’m really happy to extend my stay at URA FC. I feel at home here and thankful to the management, coaches, and my teammates for believing in me again. This renewal is another motivation for me to work harder, help the team win trophies, and improve on my own numbers in the next two years.”
Tibita’s technical ability, sharp vision, and composure under pressure have made him a fan favourite and an asset to head coach Alex Isabirye’s evolving midfield engine. His versatility across attacking midfield positions also provides tactical flexibility, something the technical team deeply values.
Club CEO Allan Munaaba welcomed the extension, stating:
