URA FC is delighted to announce that towering utility player Joshua Letti Lubwama has extended his stay at the club for two more years, keeping him with the Tax Collectors until 2027.
Nicknamed “the tallest Muganda” by his teammates, Lubwama joined URA FC in January 2023 from Wakiso Giants and has since grown into one of the most consistent and dependable players in the squad.
His unmatched versatility has seen him seamlessly operate both as a central defender and a holding midfielder, offering the technical bench tactical flexibility and solidity in different phases of the game.
During the 2024/25 season, Lubwama featured primarily as a central defender, putting in a strong shift across 28 matches. He clocked 2281 minutes, starting 26 times, coming on twice, and getting subbed off on three occasions.
Statistically, he completed 813 passes, won 101 aerial duels, and registered 44 ground duel wins, underlining his presence both in the air and on the ground.
Speaking to the club media after renewal, Lubwama said,
“I feel proud and honoured to continue with URA FC. This club gave me the platform to grow, and I’m fully committed to giving my all every time I step on the pitch. The belief from the coaches, my teammates, and the fans means everything, and I look forward to achieving even more together.”
Lubwama’s extension marks another positive step in the club’s efforts to maintain a solid core of trusted performers, as preparations for the new campaign intensify under head coach Alex Isabirye.
With his commanding presence, experience, and discipline, URA FC is confident that Lubwama will continue to play a key role in the club’s push for glory across all fronts.
