Ahead of the 2025/26 season, URA FC have boosted their technical department with the addition of former club captain Manko Kaweesa to the backroom staff.
Kaweesa, who captained the club to its last league title in the 2010/11 season, rejoins the Tax Collectors in a new role, offering support to the technical team under head coach Alex Isabirye.
He was introduced to the players and officials before the team embarked of preseason training ahead of the new season.
He will work closely with both the senior and junior teams, particularly in the area of fitness and physical conditioning, as the club looks to improve performance levels across all squads.
Speaking about his return to the club, Kaweesa expressed his delight:
“This club has always been home to me. It feels special to return and contribute in a new capacity. I’m ready to give my all to help the players stay sharp and fit throughout the season.”
His appointment adds depth and experience to the technical bench, which already includes Richard Kasule (First Assistant Coach), Asiku Crespo (Second Assistant Coach), and Damba Jamil (Goalkeeping Coach).
Kaweesa’s presence is expected to enhance the overall physical preparedness of the squad as URA FC targets a strong campaign in the upcoming season.
