URA FC have confirmed the signing of experienced midfielder Moses Waiswa, who has put pen to paper on a two-year deal running from February 2026 to February 2028.
Waiswa joins the Tax Collectors as a free agent following the expiry of his contract with Vipers SC, bringing with him a wealth of experience both locally and internationally.
The former SuperSport United FC midfielder has previously plied his trade in Sweden with Vaxjo United FC and Syrianska FC, before returning home where he has featured for Vipers SC and KCCA FC.
Waiswa becomes URA FC’s first mid-season signing as the club looks to strengthen its squad for a strong push in the remainder of the campaign.
Speaking to URA FC media after completing the move, Waiswa expressed his excitement and ambition:

I want to help the team finish in a better position and compete for silverware in the near future. I am coming from environments with a winning mentality, and I believe that experience will help me contribute positively here.

A former FUFA Player of the Year winner, Waiswa is a versatile midfielder capable of operating in attacking, central, and defensive roles — a quality that will give Head Coach Hussein Mbalangu valuable tactical options in the middle of the park.
Renowned for his composure and passing range, Waiswa’s ability to dictate play fits perfectly with URA FC’s midfield philosophy, where ball circulation and intelligence are key.
His decorated career includes two Startimes Uganda Premier League titles and one Uganda Cup, all won during his time at Vipers SC.
Waiswa’s contract will keep him at URA FC until February 2028.
