URA FC forward Olimi Nyarwa Bitanywaine has expressed his excitement after opening his scoring account for the Tax Collectors, vowing to build on the milestone with even better performances in the club’s colours.
The pacy and skillful attacker, who joined URA FC in February 2025 from Vipers SC Junior Team, has been steadily integrating into the squad, showcasing his versatility as both a right winger and forward.
Olimi announced himself in style last Friday, netting the opening goal in the 36th minute as URA FC secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Ngora regional side Tapoh FC at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo. The result ensured the Tax Collectors progressed to the 2026 Stanbic Uganda Cup quarterfinals.
Speaking to the club media, the youngster could not hide his joy after finally getting off the mark.
“I’m really happy to score my first goal for URA FC. It’s a special moment for me and something I have been working hard towards. I thank the coaches for believing in me and giving me the opportunity, and my teammates for the support—they made it easier for me to settle and express myself on the pitch.”
The goal not only marked a personal breakthrough for Olimi but also underlined his growing confidence and importance within the team setup.
With the first goal now behind him, the forward is determined to keep improving and contribute more to the team’s success as the season reaches a decisive stage.
“This is just the beginning for me. I want to keep improving, scoring more goals, and putting in strong performances whenever I get the chance. My focus is to help the team achieve its targets this season and make the fans proud.”
As URA FC eyes silverware, Olimi’s emergence adds another attacking dimension to the squad, with his pace, directness and hunger set to play a key role in the club’s ambitions.
