URA FC will once again have three of its football teams in action over the weekend for the second consecutive week, underlining the club’s growing commitment to nurturing talent and promoting the beautiful game across different levels.
The senior team, URA FC, faces Express FC today, Saturday, March 14, 2026, in an Uganda Premier League Matchday 21 encounter at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo.
At the same time, the club’s youth side, URA FC Junior Team, is already in Hoima where they will take on Kitara FC Junior Team at Royals Park Butema in their second match of the FUFA Juniors League 2026 season.
Meanwhile, URA Ladies FC are in Mbarara preparing for their Matchday Three fixture against Boni Consilii Girls tomorrow, Sunday, at Kakyeeka Stadium in the Finance Trust FUFA Women Elite League, where they will be looking to maintain their excellent start to the campaign.
Busy Weekend for the Tax Collectors
This marks the second consecutive weekend that all three URA teams are competing across different competitions and venues, reflecting the club’s expanding football structure and commitment to both senior and youth development.
Last weekend, the three teams were also in action simultaneously. The senior side played out a goalless draw against Entebbe UPPC in the league, while the Junior Team opened their FUFA Juniors League campaign with a 1-1 draw against NEC FC Junior Team.
On the women’s front, URA Ladies delivered an impressive 3-1 home victory over Buhimba United Saints Women FC.
Focus on the Nakivubo Derby
The senior team’s clash against Express FC promises to be one of the highlights of the weekend.
Express head into the fixture eager to return to winning ways after suffering a 3-0 defeat to KCCA FC in their previous outing, a result that stretched their winless run in the league to seven matches.
URA FC, however, arrive in confident mood. The Tax Collectors are unbeaten in their last seven league games and secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Lugazi FC in their most recent match, thanks to a decisive strike from Isma Mugulusi.
The first-round meeting between the two sides ended in a 1-1 stalemate, while URA FC claimed victory in the corresponding fixture last season.
Team news sees Fred Amaku return from suspension and available for selection for URA FC, while George Masembeand Abdu Magada remain the only absentees.
Commitment Beyond Results
As the three teams continue to represent the badge across the country, URA FC has reiterated its unwavering commitment to supporting its men’s, women’s and youth structures.
The club continues to invest in player welfare, technical development, logistics and professional guidance to ensure that every team competes at the highest possible level while nurturing the next generation of football talent.
URA believes that sport remains a powerful tool for transformation and nation building. By supporting the senior team, women’s team and junior side simultaneously, the club aims to contribute to the holistic development of football in Uganda while shaping disciplined, responsible and respectful citizens.
Through football, URA FC remains committed to developing the country together with its communities on and off the pitch.
