URA Ladies FC produced a dominant and well-coordinated display to defeat Police Women FC 3-0 on Sunday at Kawempe Muslim SS playground, maintaining their perfect start to the Finance Trust Women Elite League season.
The victory makes it four wins from four matches for the Tax Collectors, who now sit top of the Elizabeth Group with 12 points, level with She Kasese but ahead on goal difference.
It was another match that highlighted URA Ladies’ strength as a team, combining defensive solidity, midfield control, and attacking efficiency.
Despite URA’s early control and attacking intent, the first half ended goalless. The hosts dictated possession and created several promising situations, but Police Women FC remained compact and disciplined at the back to frustrate them.
URA pushed through the flanks and looked dangerous in transition, yet the breakthrough proved elusive before the interval.
The deadlock was finally broken just two minutes into the second half. URA Ladies came out with renewed urgency, and their pressure paid off when Vanessa Namazzi opened the scoring in the 47th minute.
Operating in a more advanced role on the right side, she squeezed in a well-taken effort from a tight angle to give the hosts a deserved 1-0 lead.
With the advantage in hand, URA Ladies grew in confidence and continued to control proceedings.

The hosts doubled their lead in the 76th minute through Cynthia Kirenga. A moment of hesitation in the Police defense allowed URA to capitalize, as Kirenga reacted quickest to a loose ball and fired home.
Her effort took a slight deflection on its way in, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance and extending the lead to 2-0.
URA Ladies maintained their intensity and attacking approach, and their dominance was rewarded again late in the game.
In the 87th minute, Namazzi completed her brace with a superb long-range strike after shifting into a midfield role. Her powerful effort sailed past the goalkeeper to seal a convincing 3-0 victory and cap off an outstanding team performance.
At the other end, URA’s defense stood firm throughout the match, ensuring the team secured a clean sheet with minimal threat from the visitors.
The result leaves Police Women FC rooted at the bottom of the table without a point after four matches, while URA Ladies continue to set the pace at the top with a flawless record.
