URA Ladies FC head coach Moses Nkata has urged his players to learn from their 3-0 defeat to KCCA Women FC and quickly shift focus to their next FUFA Women Super League assignment.
The Tax Collectors suffered defeat in their historic maiden FWSL outing on Sunday at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, with KCCA Women securing the points through a brace from Kamiyati Naigaga and another goal by Rinah Ariho.
Despite the difficult start, Nkata believes the experience will help his squad understand the demands of top-flight women’s football.
“We have taken the lessons from this game. It was a tough result for us, but we have to remain positive, correct the mistakes and work harder. For some of these players, this is their first experience at this level, so the most important thing now is to learn, improve and respond in the next game,” Nkata said.
The match also saw several URA Ladies players make their FWSL debuts, including new captain Zaina Namuleme, Shafiga Tamisi, Lydia Nandyera, Patience Nabulobi and Beatrice Kyokushaba.
Nkata and his charges will now turn their attention to Makerere University Women FC, with the Tax Collectors seeking to respond positively and get their campaign back on track.
