URA FC has announced a testimonial game for their long-serving midfield maestro, Saidi Kyeyune, following his departure from the club, after expiry of his contract.

The testimonial match, set to be held at Nakivubo Stadium, the club’s new home for the 2024/25 season, will feature a team that will be announced towards the end of August, just before the start of the 2024/Startimes Uganda Premier League.

To further honor Kyeyune’s legacy and distinguished service, the club has also considered a gratuity for him.

Kyeyune joined URA FC in 2011 from Maroons FC and has been instrumental in the club’s success over the years.

During his tenure, he helped the Tax Collectors secure several pieces of silverware, including the Uganda Cup and the Mapinduzi Cup. He also featured prominently in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The club has also expressed their gratitude for Kyeyune’s distinguished service and loyalty and have left the door open for the legendary midfielder to return in another capacity (support staff) in the future.

Best of luck, Captain Saido, in your future endeavors.
