URA FC Head Coach Jimmy Kintu has expressed satisfaction with the team’s progress as the Tax Collectors continue preparations for the 2026/27 season, with preseason now entering its fourth week.
The players have continued to undergo intensive training sessions under the guidance of Kintu and his technical team, with the focus firmly on improving fitness levels, tactical understanding and team cohesion ahead of the new campaign.
“The Response Has Been Very Positive”
Speaking after the latest training sessions with the club media, Kintu praised the commitment and attitude shown by his squad throughout preseason.
“The response from the players has been very positive. They have embraced the programme well, and every week we continue to see improvement in their fitness, understanding and togetherness. That is exactly what we want at this stage of preparation.”
The head coach believes the encouraging progress is a result of the players’ willingness to learn and adapt to the demands of the new technical team.
Building Strong Foundations
Kintu emphasised that preseason is about much more than physical conditioning, noting that the technical team is working to establish the principles and identity they want the team to carry into the new season.
“This is the period where we build our foundation. We are working on our organisation, our style of play and ensuring every player understands their responsibilities. Every training session is an opportunity for us to improve.”
The experienced tactician added that the squad continues to respond well to the workload, with healthy competition helping to raise standards across the team.

URA FC have combined rigorous training with preseason friendly matches, allowing the coaching staff to assess individual performances while strengthening tactical cohesion ahead of the competitive season.
Kintu believes the friendlies have offered valuable lessons as the team continues to grow.
